Cosmos' Lounge is headed to Erie for an escape room! This day trip is open to teens grades 6–12 and includes everything you need for a day of challenging puzzles.

What we'll be doing

Teams will be locked in a themed room and have to work together to find hidden clues, crack codes, and solve a series of puzzles before time runs out. It's an immersive, story-driven experience for a set amount of time it's up to them to find their way out. Erie's escape rooms offer a variety of themes to choose from, so teens will get a real storyline and set of puzzles built around it, not just a generic locked door. Groups will be split into smaller teams so everyone gets a hands-on role in solving the puzzles reading clues, cracking codes, and piecing together the bigger picture together.

Why we're going

Escape rooms force a group to slow down, listen to each other, and actually work as a team under pressure no small feat for a room full of teens who don't always agree on the plan. Every clue cracked and every puzzle solved builds confidence that lasts well beyond the room. It's a fun, low-stakes way for our teens to practice communication, patience, and problem-solving skills that matter far outside the game. That's exactly the kind of experience Cosmos' Lounge exists to create: real challenges that build real confidence and independence.

Trip Details

Trip Date: November 9, 2026

Departure/Return: Leaves from Cosmos' Lounge at 12:00 PM, returns in the evening around 6:00 PM

Safety first

All Cosmos' Lounge staff and chaperones hold current PA child care clearances and CPR certification. Because we can't guarantee that every parent or guardian on a trip would have the same clearances, parents are not able to join this trip — this keeps things safe and consistent for every teen in the group.
