The EmpowHer Grant through the Boundless Futures Foundation is helping us continue our mission into Year Two, expanding creative initiatives that inspire connection and growth. This support empowers us to reduce barriers to opportunity especially for youth and young adults, by making hands-on, imaginative experiences accessible to all. With this funding, Cosmos’ Lounge and the Cosmos Foundation can keep building a stronger, more inclusive community rooted in creativity and belonging.

Thanks to support from the Trail Central Grant Award, members of our Cosmos Youth Board embarked on a Backyard Museum Tour, museums included Penn Brad Oil Museum, Kinzua Bridge State Park, Smethport Old Jail Museum, Eldred World War Two Museum, Zippo/Case Museum, and Marilyn Horne Museum. The experience gave our youth leaders a deeper appreciation for community heritage and inspired new ideas for creative programming back at the Lounge. This opportunity reflected our mission to connect young people with meaningful, place-based learning experiences close to home.

Thanks to support from the PA Wilds Creative Entrepreneur Accelerator Program (CEAP) Grant, we were able to expand creative programming and community engagement at Cosmos’ Lounge. This funding made it possible to bring in the Pitt Improve Group for a night of laughter, host talented DJs for our themed monthly events, and strengthen our marketing efforts to reach more local families. It also provided essential workshop supplies like canvases, brushes, and paint, and supported the work of our amazing facilitators who help bring creativity to life in our space.
