Block Printing Workshop

Design it. Carve it. Stamp it.

No experience required. You’ll learn the full process from sketch to print, and you’ll take home both your custom tote and your reusable block for future projects.

• Where: Cosmos’ Lounge, 443 E. Main St., Bradford, PA

• Spots: Only 12 seats (save yours early!)

What You’ll Learn

• How to sketch & transfer a design to a soft rubber block

• Safe carving techniques with lino tools

• Inking & printing basics with a brayer (roller)

• Tips for clean prints and repeating patterns

• How to reuse your block on shirts, cards, and more

What’s Included

• 1 soft rubber block (yours to keep)

• Use of carving tools, brayers, inking trays, and fabric ink

• Scrap paper for test prints + drying space

• Guidance from Cosmos staff throughout

Schedule (3 Hours)

• 1:00–1:20 Welcome, examples, & safety demo

• 1:20–2:00 Design & transfer

• 2:00–3:00 Carving time

• 3:00–3:20 Inking & test prints

• 3:20–3:50 Final prints on totes

• 3:50–4:00 Clean-up, photos, care tips

What to Bring / Wear

• Wear art-friendly clothing (ink can stain)

• Optional: a simple design idea (bold shapes work best). We’ll have templates, too.
