Our Story

Hey, I’m Ashly—Founder of Cosmos’ Lounge.

When I was a teen in Bradford, I felt like there was nowhere to go and nothing to do.  Cosmos’ Lounge was created out of my desire to change that narrative—not to “fix” teens, but to trust and empower them, creating the kind of community I wish I’d had. Cosmos is my answer to the challenges I faced, and the challenges today’s teens still navigate. It’s proof of what’s possible when young people are given a platform to lead, connect, and shape their own future.

Why Cosmos' Exists

Cosmos' exists because teens deserve spaces where they are trusted, supported, and free to be themselves.

Here, teens help shape what happens next; from the events we host to the culture we create. Cosmos' isn’t about supervising teens. It’s about trusting them, supporting them, and giving them space to discover what’s possible.

Creating Access Without Barriers

Cosmos exists so teens don’t miss out on opportunities because of cost or transportation.

We remove barriers, provide scholarships, and make sure every teen has the chance to show up, participate, and try new experiences.

Teen Board

  • Teens shape events, share ideas, and help guide the future of Cosmos.

Scholarships

  • Scholarships ensure teens can participate in workshops, events, and new experiences without financial barriers.

Programs & Opportunities

  • From creative workshops and live music to outdoor adventures, Cosmos offers experiences that encourage exploration and self-expression.

Transportation

  • Transportation is one of the biggest barriers in our region. We’re working toward solutions that help teens access programs and opportunities beyond our walls.
